National Good Neighbour Day

National Good Neighbour Day is September 28. It's the day when you really appreciate your neighbour. Most of us don't really stop to appreciate our neighbours for who they really are and what they do for us.

It's always good to make someone's day, you know fill someone's bucket of happiness.

(When my mom was a teenager, one day she copied and printed out little paper flowers and stapled them together with a nice little note she made and put one in each mail box of her neighbours.)

Ideas:
-leave a envelope or little note in there mail box to fill there day.

-if you see them down the street don't hesitate to say "hi" "how are you?" it can really make them feel special and warmed.

-you washing your car? wash there's while your at it.

-you can leave them a little "good box", with maybe some notes, flowers, perfume/cologne, candy....and you can even put "Happy Good Neighbour Day!"

There's so many things you can do. If you're an artist, draw them a picture. If you're a musician, sing them a song.
Remember even when it's not National Good Neighbour Day, always appreciate your neighbours!

National Keep Kids Creative Week

There are a bunch of holidays in a year. Probably more than you think. There's so many little holidays that most people don't celebrate, most likely because they didn't know they even exist. Well did you know that from September 23-29, it is "National Keep Kids Creative Week"!

After all, there is no Earth, without art!!!

This generation so far, has been mostly about electronics, machines, devices. What happened to using your imagination?

So this week, get your kids, grandkids, class, neighbour, girl guides/scouts, any kid, to be more creative and to release their imagination.

Here's how you can...

Make your own Animal:

Have them to draw there own made up animal. Create a name. What does it look like? Where does it live? What does it like to eat? Encourage them to go as crazy and wild as they want! It's there creation!!!

What do you think of first:

Play a game where you say a word, any word at all, and without thinking they just spit out the first word that pops in there brain.
For example- chocolate, pudding,
happy, sad,    dog, cat,
Without them purposely thinking it, their minds get more creative and sometimes funny!

Improv acting:

Improv acting is a form of acting most actors would have learned, it's instead of acting a certain script written, you make it up as you go along. It doesn't have to be complicated, it could just be like,
"Once upon a time their was a princess and a prince..." The princess's name was Princess Annabelle..." "And the prince's name was Prince Adam.." " They loved to have tea party's together..." " They became best friends..." " And lived happily ever after, THE END!!!!"

There's so many ways to gets kids to be creative! You can use your own creativity to get your kids to be creative too!!!!

Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso was an amazing artist. He lived from 1881-1973.

He was a Spanish painter,  sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet, and playwright.

Pablo Picasso was born October 25 1881 in Malaga, Spain and died April 8 1973 in Mougins, France.

He has made some of the best piece's we know, from "Three Musicians", "Girl Before a Mirror", "The Old Guitarist", and so much more.

Pablo Picasso married Olga Khokhlova in 1918. Olga was a Russian ballet dancer. She and Pablo had a baby boy Paulo Picasso on February 4 1921. Who then got married and had a child, (Pablo and Olga's grandson) Pablito Picasso on May 5 1949.

Sadly in 1955 Olga Khokhlova died from cancer. However Pablo re-married in 1961 to Jacqueline Roque. They were married for 11 years until Pablo died in 1973 from Congestive heart failure, from which by then Pablo painted over 400 paintings of Jacqueline.

Pablo had a son Paulo Picasso, a step-daughter Catherine Hutin-Blay, his daughter Paloma Picasso, his other son Claude Pierre Pablo Picasso, and his other daughter Maya Widmaier-Picasso.

Pablo and his first wife Olga had Paulo Picasso, Pablo and Francoise Gilot had Paloma Picasso and Claude Pierre Pablo Picasso, and last but not least Pablo and Marie-Therese Walter had Maya Widmaier-Picasso.

"The Complete Step-by-Step Cakes & Desserts"

This is a review on the book "The Complete Step-by-Step Cakes & Desserts, 100s of easy-to-follow delicious recipes with mouthwatering photos and difficulty ratings". The General Editor is "Gina Steer".

This is an amazing Baking Book with beautiful pictures, thorough directions, and ratings 1-5 of how easy or hard it is to make the treat.

They have a wide variety of desserts and flavours from cakes, cookies, tarts, pies, cupcakes, to chocolate, vanilla, ginger, lemon, strawberry, peach, and much, much more!

It has the different treats separated into different sections. "Baking Basics", "Puddings, Pies & tarts", "Everyday Desserts & Cakes", "Special, Exotic & Creamy Concoctions", and "Sweet Bites for After Dinner".
There are from 30 to over 100 pages for each section. Each dessert takes up 1-2 pages.

Every page has the page number, the name of the treat, the number of servings that are made from it, the ingredients, the directions, a difficulty rating, a couple of pictures of them making it, and the final result picture.

The book is a hard cover and when it's open, it lays flat on it's own so you can read the recipe while baking.

I really like and recommend this book because of many reasons, but 1, because it has a difficulty rating for each treat, and 2, because it has pictures of them baking in it so you know what it should generally look like, and a final result picture. A lot of cook books don't have that, so this book is really good.

You should buy this book. It's worth it.

5 Life Hacks

These are 5 life hacks that are easy, useful, and simple to do.

1. Blanket over tv:
It's exactly as it sounds. You put a blanket
over your tv.
The reason for this is if you have kids
 that get distracted easily,
and you want to put on music or YouTube
 music videos,

but the kid(s) will get distracted from the
 video if they
are supposed to do homework, clean,
whatever.

The reason I thought of this was because my mom
had to do it because my little brother got distracted
 from cleaning.

2. Sock on cup:
You put a spare sock on a cup. (obviously a clean sock)
This is so if you have a cold drink, you hold
the sock so your hand doesn't get cold.

3. Tied purse Handle:
If you have a purse like mine where the straps you
hold on to, are way to long, then you can simply make a

basic knot, so that it is shorter and you can hold onto it
better.

4. Ice-pack in sock:
If you use ice-packs on your head when you have a
headache but it's to cold holding it or to cold on your
head, then you can put the ice-pack in a sock.

That way you can hold it without freezing
your hand, and it's not as cold on your head,
but you can still

feel the coldness on your head to make
 the headache feel better.

5. Bottle caps under Laptop:
What we did with or laptop is we taped
four chocolate milk bottle caps under our
laptop because our laptop is old,

 and over heats
a lot, so it prevents it from over heating so much.
